Y = \frac{1}{2}x + 3
y = x - 4

Since both equations are equal to y, you can set the two values equal to each other and solve for x.

\frac{1}{2}x + 3 = x - 4   Multiply both sides by 2
x + 6 = 2x - 8   Add x to both sides
6 = 3x - 8   Add 8 to both sides
14 = 3x   DIvide both sides by 3
4\frac{2}{3} = x

Now, plug the x value into one of the original equations, I'll plug it into y = x - 4.

y = x - 4   Plug in the x value
y = 4\frac{2}{3} - 4   Subtract
y = \frac{2}{3}

x = 4\frac{2}{3} and y = \frac{2}{3}

MariettaO [177]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the number of samples is given as n = 30, we would determine the degree of freedom, df

df = n - 1 = 30 - 1

df = 29

Since the test statistic is given as 2.35 and the df = 29, we would determine the p value from the t distribution table. We will look for the row containing df = 29 and trace the two columns between which 2.35 falls. The result would also be in the row containing one tailed test. Therefore, the p-value falls between 0.025 and 0.01.

How to describe a transformation?
svet-max [94.6K]
The horizontal shift depends on the value of h . The horizontal shift is described as: g(x)=f(x+h) g ( x ) = f ( x + h ) - The graph is shifted to the left h units. g(x)=f(x−h) g ( x ) = f ( x - h ) - The graph is shifted to the right h units.

Alicia bought 4 T-shirts for $23.00. Using the unit rate, how much would 6 T-shirts cost?
LekaFEV [45]

i think that you would just take 23/4=$5.75
