Answer: The correct answer is- Peptide bond.

A peptide bond is a chemical, covalent bond, which is  formed between two molecules when -COOH ( carboxylic group) of one molecule reacts with -NH2 group ( that is amino group) of another molecule.

This bond formation releases a molecule of water ( H2O) thus, it is called a dehydration reaction.

This bond is usually formed between amino acids that are linked to each other in order to form polypeptide ( protein).

When α- COOH group of one amino acid links with the α- NH2 group of another amino acid, it will form a peptide bond.

Amino Acids Are Linked by Peptide Bonds toForm Polypeptide Chains. Proteins are linear polymers formed by linking the α-carboxyl group of one amino acid to the α-amino group of another amino acid with a peptide bond (also called an amide bond).

Answer:

C. both sexual and asexual

Explanation:

In both cases, the parent(s) of the offspring pass down characteristics. Asexual reproduction makes a carbon copy of the parent so they would obviously have the parent's characteristics. Sexual reproduction passes down characteristics of both parents to the offspring.

During replication, is the original dna sequence maintained in the new strands? explain why or why not.
Jobisdone [24]
Hello!

During replication, DNA sequence is maintained in the new strands

The reason for it is the action of DNA Polymerase. This is an enzyme who has the function of "proofreading" the DNA sequence to ensure that all nucleotides are in the right order. This process is so accurate that an incorrect base is introduced every 10⁹-10¹⁰ bases.
