Answer:

Ethos, pathos, parallelism

Explanation:

The author of this excerpt uses ethos when she lists all the things that she is able to do. She tells us that she is able to work as hard as a man, eat as much as a man and tolerate lashes as well as a man. By outlining her experiences, she makes a claim to her credibility that proves very persuasive.

The author also uses pathos by presenting many scenes that are emotionally charged. The author tells us that she received lashes, that she often could not find enough food to eat and that she has lost all of her children.

Finally, the author uses parallelism because the structure of all the sentences is similar, and she repeats the phrase "Ain't I a Woman?" constantly.

Reread lines 11-18. What key concept does Soto develops?
zaharov [31]

Answer:

Soto develops the concept that poor people need to work hard until they are old and no longer have the strength to do so.

Explanation:

You did not quote the book to which this question refers, but when researching it, I could find that you are referring to “One Last Time,” written by Gary Soto, where he reveals life as an immigrant and low-paid jobs that he and his family had to take to survive.

In lines 11-18 of the book, Soto shows the concept of working until forces run out. This is because, in these lines, he describes the work of his grandfather and grandmother, who had to face very heavy jobs in order to survive. They only stopped working when they were old and no longer had the strength to continue working.
