I'm assuming that 5π3 is in fact 5π/3

convert radian to degrees:

5π / 3 = 5(180°) / 3 = 900° / 3 = 300°

Area of the circle = π r²
A = 3.14 * (6 ft)²
A = 3.14 * 36 ft²
A = 113.04 ft²

Area of the sector:

113.04 ft²  * 300°/360° = 94.2 ft²

The area of the sector formed by a central angle measuring 5π/3 radian is 94.2 ft²

Can u help me ASAP. i need to know how to do it step by step
12345 [234]

Answer:

<em>19</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) =4x^3-8x^2+ax+b has a factor 2x-1 and

when divided by x+2, remainder is 20.

To find:Remainder when divided by (x-1)  ?

Solution:

2x-1 is a factor

2x - 1 = 0 \Rightarrow x = \frac{1}{2} when we put this value of x to the function, it will become 0.

i.e.

\Rightarrow f(\dfrac{1}{2}) =0 =4\times (\dfrac{1}2)^3-8(\dfrac{1}2)^2+\dfrac{a}{2}+b=0\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{1}{2}-2+\dfrac{a}{2}+b=0\\\Rightarrow 1-4+a+2b=0\\\Rightarrow a +2b=3 ......(1)

Remainder is 20 when f(x) is divided by x+2

i.e.

f(-2) =20

\Rightarrow f(-2) =20 =4\times (-2)^3-8(-2)^2-2a+b=20\\\Rightarrow -32-32-2a+b=20\\\Rightarrow -2a+b=84 ...... (2)

Solving (1) and (2), Multiply equation (1) by 2 and adding to (2):

5b=6+84\\\Rightarrow b = \dfrac{90}{5} = \bold{18}

By equation (1):

a+2(18) = 3\\\Rightarrow a = -33

So, the equation becomes:

f(x) =4x^3-8x^2-33x+18

\Rightarrow f(1) = 4(1) -8 (1) -33(1) +18 = \bold{19}

So, when divided by (x-1), remainder will be <em>19</em>.

From the diagram below, if the sides AD = 3 and DC = 27, and BD = X + 3, find x.
Colt1911 [192]

Given:

• AD = 3

,

• DC = 27

,

• BD = x + 3

Let's solve for x.

To solve for x, apply the altitude formula:

\frac{AD}{BD}=\frac{BD}{DC}

Where BD is the altitude.

Cross multiply:

BD^2=AD*DC

Plug in the values and solve for x:

\begin{gathered} (x+3)^2=3*27 \\  \\ (x+3)^2=81 \end{gathered}

Take the square root of both sides:

\begin{gathered} \sqrt{(x+3)^2}=\sqrt{81} \\  \\ x+3=9 \\  \\ \text{ Subtract 3 from both sides:} \\ x+3-3=9-3 \\  \\ x=6 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the value of x is 6 .

How is 3 divided by 1.4 ...2.14? Working please!
musickatia [10]
Turn 1.4 into a whole number. Which makes 1.4 to 14. We know that 3 has a decimal point at the end. So move the decimal point of 3 to the right, making it 30. Now do 30/14. You will get...

30/14 = 2.14
