Jada will draw two scale drawings of the same object on 1-cm grid paper. Each centimetre will represent a greater distance in th

e second
drawing than in the first. Jada claims that the lengths in the second drawing will be longer than the lengths in the first drawing. Do you agree? Give an example of a scale and a measurement to support your answer.

Answer:

Jada is wrong. For example, say Jada is drawing scaled versions of a 10x10 yard square. In her first drawing, 1 centimeter = 1 yard, so the drawn square is 10x10 centimeters. In her second drawing, 1 centimeter = 2 yards, which is greater, like the problem says. This drawing will be only 5x5 centimeters, meaning the lengths will be smaller as each centimeter represents a greater number of yards.

C.Infinitely many solutions

I solved by substitution

2x+3y=12\\-3y-3y\\2x=-3y+12\\\frac{2x=-3y+12}{2} \\x=-\frac{3}{2} y+6-6y=4x-24\\-6y=4(-\frac{3}{2}  y+6)-24\\-6y=-6y\\-6y+6y=-6y+6y\\0=0\\Infinitely many solutions

The spherical container has a radius of 21 cm. What is the approximate volume of the container? Use 3. 14 to approximate pi. Rou
Gemiola [76]

Volume of a figure is the measure of the space that figure occupies. The approximate volume of the specified container is 87.92 cm³

<h3>What is the volume of sphere?</h3>

If the given sphere is of radius r units, then its volume is given as:

V=  \dfrac{4}{3} \pi r^3 \: \rm unit^3

For the given case, the radius of the sphere is given to be 21 cm, and the value of pi is instructed to be used  as 3.14

Thus, we have the volume of container as:

V = \dfrac{4}{3} \pi r^3 = \dfrac{4}{3} \times 3.14 \times 21 = 87.92 \: \rm cm^3{

Thus,

The approximate volume of the specified container is 87.92 cm³

PLEASE HELP?!

The middle point of BC is (0,2), the midpoint of CD is (1,0)
to prove two lines are parallel, prove their slopes are the same.
slope of BD: m=rise/run=4/-2=-2 (the run is negative because to get to B from D on the grid, you have to move from right to left, then upward. If the horizontal move is from left to right, the run is positive)
slope of EG: m=rise/run=2/-1=-2
EG and BD have the same slope, so they are parallel.
