Absolute Thresholds makes reference to the "intensity of the temperature that would be required to detect the environment 50% of the time" Whereas, Difference Threshold is related to " the amount of change that there would need to be in the temperature" for her to notice the difference. Her sensation and perception would affect her understanding on her environment by allowing her to interpret the stimuli to detect temperature, distance, etc. <span />

19. passes through (1, 4) and (-1, 1)
djyliett [7]

Answer:

y = 3/2x + 2.5

Explanation:

You can use the slope equation: \frac{y_1-y_2}{x_1-x_2} = \frac{rise}{run}

So: \frac{1-4}{-1-1} = \frac{3}{2}

Then just plug in the one of the original points to find the y-intercept:

4 = \frac{3}{2} (1)+b\\4=\frac{3}{2} +b\\4=1.5+b\\(-1.5)+4=1.5+b+(-1.5)\\2.5=b

And finally turns into: y=\frac{3}{2} +2.5
