Option A

Total number of cookies on a shipping truck when 12 boxes are loaded is 1728.

<u>Solution:</u>

Need to determine correct option of total number of cookies on the truck

From given information

Number of cookies in 1 container = 12

Number of container in 1 box = 12

So number of cookies in 1 box = number of cookies in 12 container

\Rightarrow \text { Number of cookies in } 1 \text { box }=\text { number of cookies in } 1 \text { container } \times 12

=12 \times 12=144

Number of boxes loaded onto 1 shipping truck = 12

So Number of cookies onto 1 shipping truck = number of cookies in 12 boxes

\Rightarrow \text { Number of cookies onto } 1 \text { shipping truck }=\text { number of cookies in } 1 \text { box } \times 12

=144 \times 12=1728

Hence total number of cookies on a shipping truch when 12 boxes are loaded is 1728. Thus option A is correct

Are the equations y – 5 = 2(x – 1)and y - 3 = 2(x + 3) the same equation? Explain
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

No.

Step-by-step explanation:

y - 5 = 2(x - 1)

y = 2x + 3

y - 3 = 2(x + 3)

6.5 x 1/9 please help
hjlf

Answer:

13/18

Step-by-step explanation:

  • 6.5 · 1/9 = 6 5/10 · 1/9
  • 6 5/10 · 1/9 = 6 1/2 · 1/9
  • 6 1/2 · 1/9 = 13/2 · 1/9
  • 13/2 · 1/9 = 13/18

Therefore, 6.5 · 1/9 = 13/18.

What is the formula for the slope of a line segment whose endpoints are (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)?
Zolol [24]
Well, to find the slop regardless, you do (Y2 - Y1) Divided by (X2 - X1). It is the same thing when finding the slope of any line.

Ex: (4,5) and (8,6). What is the slope? (6 - 5) / (8 - 4) = 1/4 <--- Slope

Please leave a thanks because you are welcome. Hope this helps :)

given three points of a quadratic function find the equation that defines the function (-2,20)(0,-2)(1,-4) hurry please!!
kotykmax [81]

Answer:

D: y = 3x² - 5x - 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The general form of a quadratic equation is: y = ax² + bx + c

c is the y-intercept

We are given the point (0, -2) which is the y-intercept, so we can rewrite our general form into

y = ax² + bx - 2

We can create a system of equations to solve for a and b.  We are given two points.

Equation 1:  Take the first point (-2, 20) and plug it into our general equation...

20 = a(-2)² + b(-2) - 2

   20 = 4a - 2b - 2

        22 = 4a - 2b         (add 2 to both sides)

           11 = 2a - b         (divide both sides by 2 since every coefficient is even)

Equation 2:   Take the point (1, -4) and plug it into the general equation

-4 = a(1)² + b(1) - 2

  -4 = a + b - 2

     -2 = a + b

Now we have our 2 equations:

11 = 2a - b

-2 = a + b

Since the coefficients of b are already have opposite signs, add the two equations together (elimination method)

Now we have

9 = 3a       now solve for a...

 3 = a   (divide by 3 on both sides)

If a = 3, then

-2 = 3 + b

    -5 = b

Our equation is

y = 3x² - 5x - 2
