1) For any one input there is only one output,

So because there are 2 x's with 4 and they both have different outputs ( y values are different) it cannot be a function.

The answer is D.

2) There are two x's using -3 and each Y value is different, one is 2 and the other is 0, so it is not a function.

The answer is D.

HELP is this graph misleading? Be sure to justify your answer with mathematical reasoning
victus00 [196]

A graph is used to visualize data using plots, figures and charts.

The given graph is not misleading

<h3>How to determine if the graph is misleading</h3>

From the figure, we have the following highlights

  • The graph is well labelled on both axes
  • The y-axis (which represents a numerical data) have a constant interval i.e. the scale is consistent
  • All points are properly connected

Using the above properties, we can conclude that the graph is not misleading

Find the area of the triangle
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

Part 1)  P=204\ yd

Part 2) A=1,325\ yd^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1)

we know that

The perimeter of triangle is equal to the sum of its length sides

so

P=54+97+53=204\ yd

Part 2)

we know that

The area of triangle is given by the formula

A=\frac{1}{2}(b)(h)

we have

b=53\ yd\\h=50\ yd

substitute

A=\frac{1}{2}(53)(50)=1,325\ yd^2
