scoray [572]

Answer:

I don't think any of those answers represent pi

first of all the circumference of the circle is pi* diameter since the circumference of the circle is 43.96 feet and the diameter is 14 feet the equation would look like this   43.96=14*pi,pi=43.96/14,so that means the pi would obviously be 3.14

I´m pretty sure I´m correct.

James defines a circle as the set of all the points equidistant from a given point. His statement is not precise enough because
lana66690 [7]

A circle has a center, radius, diameter and points in a plane. Depending on the context, the definition of a circle must contain at least one of the following terms:

Center

Radius

Diameter

Points in a plane

The complete question is as follows:-

James defines a circle as "the set of all the points equidistant from a given point." His statement is not precise enough

because he should specify that

A circle includes its diameter

The set of points is in a plane

A circle includes its radius

The set of points is collinear

<h3>What is a circle?</h3>

A circle is a two-dimensional geometry on the plane having a center point and the circular line is drawn equidistant from the center point.

Based on James' definition of a circle, he needed to specify that the points are in a plane (option c).

As presented in his definition "the set of all the points" can be interpreted in several ways. Some of which are:

the set of points on a line

the set of points in a plane

the set of points in a region

Etc

Of these numerous possible interpretations, James should have specified that the set of points is in a plane

Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the<br> line that passes through (9, 1) and (7, 8).
butalik [34]
8 - 1 = 7
7 - 9 = -2
7 divided by -2 is -3.5

The slope is -3.5 now we need to find the y intercept.

To find the y intercept do -3.5 times 7 and you get -24.5.
Next do 8- -24.5 and you get 32.5 which is the y intercept.

The equation would be y = -3.5x + 32.5

According to a survey, 15% of city workers take the bus to work. Donatello randomly surveys 10 workers. What is the probability
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer:

0.001

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total number of workers, n=10.

Number of workers taking bus, x=6

Let the probability of taking bus be success and denoted by p.

So, p=0.15

Therefore, probability of not taking bus, q=1-p=1-0.15=0.85

Using Bernoulli's distribution of getting x successes out of n trials.

∴ P(X=x)=_{x}^{n}\textrm{C}p^{x}q^{n-x}

Plug in 0.15 for p, 0.85 for q, 10 for n and 6 for x

So,  P(X=6)=_{6}^{10}\textrm{C}(0.15)^{6}(0.85)^{10-6}\\ P(X=6)=_{6}^{10}\textrm{C}(0.15)^{6}(0.85)^{4}\\ P(X=6)=0.001

Therefore, the probability that exactly 6 workers take bus is 0.001.

Serjik [45]

Answer:

y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the y- coordinates of the ordered pairs are all 2

This indicates the line is horizontal with equation y = c

where c is the value of the y- coordinates the line passes through, then

y = 2 ← equation of line
