Answer:

It will take 4.2 years

Explanation:

The amount due in the future when a sum of money is invested at a particular interest rate for certain number of years is called Future or compound value.

To calculate the compound value, we use the formula below:

FV = PV * (1+r)^n

FV- future value, PV - Present value, r - interest rate, n - number of years

In this question,

FV - 15,000, PV- 5000, r -3%, n- ?

Substituting this value we have:

15,000 = 5000 × (1+0.03)^n

15000 = 5000 ×  1.03^n

1.03^n = 15,000/5000

1.03^n = 3

log 1.03^n = Log 3

n = Log 3/log 1.03

n = 4.18735

It will take about 4.2 years for the account to reach $15,000

Frantic Fast Foods had earnings after taxes of $430,000 in 20X1 with 345,000 shares outstanding. On January 1, 20X2, the firm is
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:earnings per share for the year 20X1= $1.25 per share

earnings per share for the year 20X2 = 1.40

Explanation:

Earning per share is calculated as  = Earning after taxes ÷ Shares outstanding

Therefore, earnings per share for the year 20X1.

= $430,000 ÷345,000 shares

= $1.25 per share

2. In the next year,there was a change in earnings after tax by 23 percent and an increase in shares by  34,000,

Therefore, we have earnings per share for the year 20X2 as

= ($430,000 × 1.23) ÷ ( 345,000 + 34,000)

=528,900/379000

=1.3955 rounded to 1.40

Bufford Corporation had reported the following amounts at December 31, 2022: sales revenue $184,000, ending inventory $11,600, b
Ronch [10]

Answer:

Option (b) $74,100

Explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Sales revenue = $184,000

Ending inventory = $11,600

Beginning inventory = $17,200

Purchases = $60,400

Purchase discounts = $3,000

Purchase returns and allowances = $1,100

Freight-in = $600

Freight-out = $900

Now,

Cost of goods available for sale

= Beginning inventory + Purchases + Freight-in - Purchases discounts - Purchase returns and allowances

= $17,200  + $60,400 + $600 - $3,000 - $1,100

= $74,100

Hence,

Option (b) $74,100
