Answer:

It will take 4.2 years

Explanation:

The amount due in the future when a sum of money is invested at a particular interest rate for certain number of years is called Future or compound value.

To calculate the compound value, we use the formula below:

FV = PV * (1+r)^n

FV- future value, PV - Present value, r - interest rate, n - number of years

In this question,

FV - 15,000, PV- 5000, r -3%, n- ?

Substituting this value we have:

15,000 = 5000 × (1+0.03)^n

15000 = 5000 ×  1.03^n

1.03^n = 15,000/5000

1.03^n = 3

log 1.03^n = Log 3

n = Log 3/log 1.03

n = 4.18735

It will take about 4.2 years for the account to reach $15,000

inn [45]

Answer:

The correct answer that fills the gap is: Cartels generate the highest joint profit, they want to avoid a price war that leads to profit erosion and P=MC, a cournot oligopoly will generate more profit than a bertrand oligopoly

Explanation:

In Bertrand's model, consumers will buy the goods of the company that offers the lowest price. From this it can be intuited that the Nash equilibrium will be the one in which both companies set the same price. For this reason it is not attractive, since they are competition and for some of the two it may not be profitable to decrease the sale price of their products.

In the long run, an increase in the money supply will affect the price level and real GDP of an economy in which of the followin
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

1. Lower the interest rates in the economy.

2. Increase asset prices

Explanation:

Remember, increase in money supply looks at the total money made available in circulation in an economy. Alternatively it is called liquidation.

The real of an economy takes into consideration the impact of inflation on the value of goods and services produced in an economy.

Therefore lower interest rates as a result of increase in money supply would results in more consumption and borrowing.

While the price of houses, stocks would rise because of the increased money supply.

How do property right benefit entrepeneurs?
Vikki [24]

Answer:

Through allowing themselves to buy resources and spend them accordingly.

Explanation:

  • Properties law provides full authority for merchants or developers with possession of such resources or properties.
  • However, once the property has been enforced upon that estate, all persons besides just their owners haven't even the ability to access the property without any of the consent of their heirs.

Thus the above is the correct approach.

Polk Company manufactures basketballs. Materials are added at the beginning of the production process and conversion costs are i
wariber [46]

Answer and Explanation:

The computation is shown below:

a.

1. Calculation of the equivalent units

Particulars Physical units % Material % Conversion cost

Units transferred

out                          900             100%    900     100%     900

Ending

work in process     600            100%     600     40%       240

Equivalent

units                                                        1,500                  1,140

2. Cost per equivalent unit is

Particulars         Material      Conversion cost

Beginning

inventory           $750               $600

Cost during

period                $2,400            $2,820

Total cost          $3,150             $3,420

Divided by

Equivalent

units                   $1,500            $1,140

Cost per

equivalent unit    $2.1              $3

3. Transferred out cost is

= (3 + 2.1) × 900

= $4,590

And, the ending work in process cost is

= (600 ×$2.1) + (240 × $3)

= $1,960

2. Now the preparation of the production report is presented below:

Beginning work in process       $1,350

Cost during period                    $5,220

Total cost accounted for           $6,570

Transferred out cost                   $4,590

Ending work in process              $1,960

Total cost accounted as             $6,570
