The Mexican-American war of 1846-1848 was justified in the opinions of many by the idea of "Manifest Destiny", since this held that the US was "destined" to expand to the Pacific Ocean.
Well both the antislavery activists and the woman right activists used similar methods in getting their messages across. The first thing they did was give numerous speeches in order to get their message across and to show the public their position.The supporters would also preach to the public but they reached the largest number of people through the printing of their stories and manifestos.
