3/4 is 60% of what number?
Butoxors [25]
Answer – 1 ¼
   Given that 60% of x = ¾
60/100 of x = ¾
60x/100 = ¾
Multiply both sides by 100
60x = 300/4
60x = 75
Divide both sides by 60
x = 75/60
x = 1 ¼
   Therefore, 60% of 1 ¼ is ¾

Dante drove 594 miles in 9 hours. If he traveled at a steady speed, how far did he drive per hour?
inysia [295]
Answer: 66 mph

Explanation: If Dante were to drive 594 miles at a steady speed in 9 hours we need to divide to find how many miles Dante drives in one hour. 594 / 9 = 66. Dante drove 66 miles per hour

Which of the following equations has the solution set {0}?
nexus9112 [7]
The correct answer is:
_________________________________________________________
          [A]:  " -14m − 7m + 1  =  -7m + 1 " .
_________________________________________________________
Note: All of the answer choices given contain "ONE" variable, "m".
__________________________________________________________
            Among the all the answer choices given (that is, among all the 3 (THREE) answer choices given), this answer choice: "{A}", is the only one which holds true; (that is, maintains a true equation— both sides of the equation are equal—, when "m = 0 ").
__________________________________________________________
Specifically, for "Answer choice: [A]:
____________________________________________
    -14m − 7m + 1 =  -7m + 1 ;
____________________________________________
When we plug in "0" for all values of "m", both sides of the equation are equal:
____________________________________________
   -14*(0)  −  7*(0) + 1  =?   -7*(0)  +  1  ?? ;
__________________________________________________
        0  − 0  + 1 = ?   0 + 1 ?
__________________________________________________
                    1 = 1 ?  Yes!
___________________________________________________
Let's try Answer choice: [B] ; which is:
___________________________________________________
     "-14m + 7m + 1  =  -7m + 2 " ;
________________________________________________________
If we plug in "0" for ALL values of "m" (both sides, of course), does the equation hold true?
_______________________________________________________
     -14*(0) + 7*(0) + 1  = ?   -7*(0)  + 2  ?? ;
_______________________________________________________
              0 + 0 + 1 = ?   0 + 2 ?? ;
_______________________________________________________
                         1 = ?   2 ???   No!    1 ≠ 2 ;
_______________________________________________________
           As such, "Answer choice: [B}" does NOT have the solution set: "{0}" ; and is not the correct answer; (and is not a correct answer).
________________________________________________________
Now, let's try the remaining "Answer choice: [C]:"
________________________________________________________
    14m −  7m − 1  =  -7m + 1 ;
_______________________________________________________
If we plug in "0" for ALL values of "m" (both sides, of course), does the equation hold true?
________________________________________________________
    14*(0)  −  7*(0)  −  1  =  -7*(0)  +  1 ;
________________________________________________________
     0  − 0  − 1  =?   0 + 1 ?? ;
________________________________________________________
              - 1  = ?  1 ???  No!    -1  ≠  1 !   ;
________________________________________________________
         As such, "Answer choice: [C]" does NOT have the solution set:  "{0}" ;
and is not the correct answer; (and is not a correct answer).
_________________________________________________________
The answer is:   [A]:   " -14m − 7m + 1  =  -7m + 1 " .
_________________________________________________________

Please help –8 = c /9 c=
kramer

Hey there! I'm happy to help!

We want to get c all by itself on one side of the equation. Usually variables go on the left side, so let's flip the equation around.

c/9=-8

If we multiply c/9 by 9, the 9 will cancel out because if you divide by 9 and then multiply by 9 it just equals 1. We can do this to isolate the c, but whatever you do to one side of the equation, you have to do to the other. So, we multiply both sides by 9.

c/9×9=-8×9

c=-72

Have a wonderful day! :D

The diameter of a circle is 10 meters. What is the area of the circle? (Use 3.14 for and round to the nea
alina1380 [7]

The formula for the area of a circle is r² x π.

-Since we know the diameter of the circle, we can divide by 2 to find the radius of the circle.

10/2 = 5

-From here, we can substitute our values in. Since we're using 3.14 for pi, we'll substitute that as well.

(5)² x (3.14)

-And finally, we can solve to find the area of the circle.

(25) x (3.14)

(78.5)

Therefore, the answer is 78.5 meters.

Hope this helped! :)
