The there government was based on their beliefs and religion. The Pilgrims strongly believed that the Church of England, and the Catholic Church, had strayed beyond Christ's teachings, and established religious rituals, and church hierarchies, that went against the teachings of the Bible. Also without their idea of government, we would have had nothing to base the United States of America government off on. "In God We Trust"

Briefly outline the major features shared by most pre-modern African societies. Could you argue that pre-modern African cultures
zalisa [80]

Answer:

In pre-modern Sub-Saharan Africa, the basic unit of society was the clan or lineage-group. African societies were also largely structured into villages until the first chiefdoms and kingdoms began to appear.

Explanation:

Throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, the basic unit of society was the clan group, which would typically live together as a cluster of households and thus small hamlets or villages would form on the bases of lineages and allied lineages. Large towns would be an amalgamation of these clans, and they would often be distributed as smaller villages of clans grouped together. Each village would be principled around the power of what anthropologists call a “big man.” They were the person whom the clan believed was the most directly descended from their founding ancestors. He would be joined by his extended family as well as more distant relatives, and often unrelated families who had been separated from their own clans and who looked to the big man for guidance and protection. In North Africa and the Saharan Desert, the organization of society was different and largely resembled cultures in the Middle East that were nomadic in large part.

I need an essay on current Latin America
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

Latin America represents 1/10 of the world's population, and geographically can be located from the land extensions of Mexico, until the Patagonia at Argentina. Some of the most relevant elements of today's culture in Latin America are; Religion, Values, Attitudes, Social structure, Social stratification, Language and Gift-giving hospitality. The predominant religion throughout history in Latin America has been Catholicism. From big cities to small villages, churches, basilicas, and cathedrals are found. Catholicism left its mark, from customs and values to architecture and art. During many years in many countries the Catholic Church had power over all civil institutions, education, and law.

An important factor that might cause a cultural change in Latin America is Globalization. Industrialization is growing in Latin America rapidly and this  is a consequence of globalization. Some of the changes that are likely to occur are modernization of cities which will make rich people richer, and poor people poorer. Mega-cities are being built by multinational corporations in cities such as Santiago in Chile.
