First work out the area of the semi circle.
To do this we find the area a circle and half it.

To find the area of a circle is it radius² x π
Therefore the area of the semi circle is 4 ² x π
Then divide this by 2.
Then you should get 16 π which equals 50.26548246 cm ².

Then find the area of the triangle.
The area of a triangle is base x height divided by 2.
Therefore you should get 9 x 8 divided by 2 which you should get to 36 cm ².

Then add the two together to get
86. 26548246.
Then round to the newest hundredth to get to the final answer of 86.27cm².
