The Nickelodeon system was the first indoor space dedicated to showing projected movies.
It opened in 1905 and lasted almost ten years.
The most significant outcome was that it allowed permanent locations that showed films more frequently.
Besides, it provided a means for film companies to own and control distribution because there was only one place in which the film was projected. Film exchanges bought films from manufacturers and then rent them out to exhibitors.
Because there was a reawakening of interest in art, literature and science between 1300 and 1600, it is fitting to call his period the renaissance, since it means rebirth.
