When population reaches it's maximum size and is in a steady state, it is said that the <u>Carrying Capacity </u>has been reached.

Explanation:

  • Carrying capacity is defined as the maximum number of individuals of a population  an ecosystem can support without being stressed out.
  • When a population reaches its carrying capacity it is in a stable state and can be easily  maintained by the available resources.
  • But if carrying capacity is exceeded then it will create a shortage of resources and increase competition in the ecosystem.

How do cultural traits, cultural complexes, and cultural patterns differ?
Lady bird [3.3K]
Cultural traits are the individual elements or smallest units of culture. It is these traits, which distinguish one culture from another. A cultural pattern is formed when traits and complexes become connected to each other in Tylor’s definition lay in his “complex whole” formulation, it varied cultures of different peoples or societies. While cultural complexes is a group of cultural traits that are all interrelated and dominated with one essential trait. To make substantial and accurate comparisons between cultures, lives are always entangled in complex patterns of work and family, power and meaning, they also focus a lot on the differences between every person it was discovered that physical traits that had been used to.

sergey [27]

Answer:

d. Hemoglobin helps maintain a constant pH in the blood by binding with H⁺ions released from bicarbonate ions.

Explanation:

The presence (CO₂) in in the erythrocytes lowers its pH as a result the affinity of hemoglobin decreases for oxygen. The carbon dioxide (CO₂) reacts with water to form carbonic acid in the presence of the enzyme carbonic anhydrase which is present in the erythrocytes or red blood cells. The carbonic acid then changes into two ions hydrogen ion (H⁺) and bicarbonate ion (HCO₃⁻).  As a result of H⁺ ions, the pH of blood drops. Haemoglobin pick up hydrogen ions to balance the decrease in pH. Thus, haemoglobin helps in maintaining constant pH or keep pH of blood in buffer.

What are regenerative cells ???
Afina-wow [57]

Regenerative cells are specific types of cells that can be activated in order to restore organs and tissues back to a pre-existing normal state.

  • Stem cells are specific cells capable of generating new specialized types of cells, thereby allowing the regeneration of damaged tissues.

  • For example, hematopoietic stem cells can be used to generate new red blood cells whose function is to transport oxygen in the bloodstream.

  • Regenerative cells can be used in tissue engineering in order to restore the function and structure of damaged organs.

In conclusion, regenerative cells are specific types of cells that can be activated in order to restore organs and tissues back to a pre-existing normal state.
