They are 2015 and 2016.

divide 4031 by 2, and get rid of the decimal:
You will get 2015.
2015+2015 = 4030
2015+2016=4031

First represent your 2 consecutive integers as follows.

X ⇒ first integer

X + 1 ⇒ second integer

Since their sum is 4,031, our equation reads x + (x + 1) = 4,031.

Simplifying on the left side, we get 2x + 1 = 4,031.

Now subtract 1 from both sides to get 2x = 4,030.

Now divide both sides by 2 to find that x = 2,015.

If x ix 2,015, then x + 1 will be 2,015 + 1 or 2,016.

So our 2 consecutive integers are 2,015 and 2,016.

WILL MARK BRAINLIEST!!! Can someone help me wit des questions? (SHOW UR WORK)
spayn [35]
1) -3x -3 -7x = 17
• start by grouping so add -3x and -7x which gives you -10x
• 10x -3 (+3) = 17 +3 = 20 add 3 on both sides)
• 10x (/10) = 20/ 10 = 2
1) x = 2

2) 10x -6 (+6) = 24 + 6 = 30
• 10x (/10) = 30/ 10 = 3
2) x = 3

3) -4 (+4) -5x = -39 +4 = -35
• -5x (/-5) = -35/ -5 = 7
3) x = 7

4) 3x - 5 > 10
this one i don’t understand, is there a typo maybe ?

5) -5x + x + 16 = -3 you can put a 1 to hold the place of x to make it 1x
• (-5x + 1x) + 16 = -3
• -4x + 16 (-16) = -3 -16 = -19
• -4x (/-4) = -19/ -4 = 4.75 or 4 3/4
5) x = 4.75

A flash disk has the capacity of storing 1 megabyte of data. How many kilobytes of data can be stored in the same flash disk
Luden [163]

For this sort of problem, you need to be familiar with prefixes.

So:

megabyte = 1 *10^6 bytes

kilobyte = 1*10^3 bytes

and a regular byte would just be 1

Now, you will need to do a conversion:

1megabyte*\frac{1*10^6bytes}{1megabyte}*\frac{1*10^{-3}kilobyte}{1byte}

I'm going to explain this just in case, but we convert megabytes to regular bytes in the first half by using the information I gave you above. (In one megabyte, there are 1*10^6 bytes!)

In the second fraction thought, remember one kilobyte is 1*10^3 bytes. However, you usually only see one of each thing on the bottom of fractions, so you need to add a negative sign to the 3. (technically you could just do \frac{1kilobyte}{1*10^3bytes}, but I think it is more correct to do write it out how I did).

*** They do equal the same thing though! Do whichever way is easier for you!

Now, your answer should be:

10^3 kilobytes (1000 kilobytes)

Hope this helped!
