Answer:

1. x = -15

2. x = 0.25 or x = 1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

1.

8 + 9.8x + 9 = 3.8x - 16 + 3.8x

Simplify both sides

17 + 9.8x = 7.6x - 16

-17                      -17

9.8x = 7.6x - 33

-7.6x   -7.6x

2.2x = -33

Divide by 2.2

x = -15

2.

-2x - 10 = -14x - 7

+7                    +7

-2x - 3 = -14x

+2x         +2x

-3 = -12x

Divide by -12

0.25 = x

x = 0.25 or x = 1/4

Step2247 [10]

Answer:

-5

-3

-2

Rule:  Subtract 2 from the input value

Step-by-step explanation:

Examine the pattern of the input and the corresponding output for the two given ordered pairs:

Input -2 → Output -4

Output - Input =  -4 - (-2) = -2

Input 1 → Output -1

Output - Input = -1 - 1 = -2

Therefore to get the output value (y-value), we subtract 2 from the input value (x-value).

\begin{array}{| c | c |}\cline{1-2} x & y \\\cline{1-2} -3 & -5 \\\cline{1-2} -2 & -4 \\\cline{1-2} -1 & -3 \\\cline{1-2} 0 & -2\\\cline{1-2} 1 & -1 \\\cline{1-2}\end{array}

As the rule for the function is the subtract 2 from the input value to get the output value, we can write this as:

Output = Input - 2

or as an equation:  y=x-2

I don’t know how to solve things like this
EleoNora [17]
To do this problem you need to find angle adc which is a part of angle BDA. angle BDA is 90 degrees so the 2 parts must add up to 90 degrees so you set up the problem like this
-2x + 144 - 3x +51 =90
then you combine like terms
-5x +195 = 90
then you subtract 195 from 90
-5x = -105
then you divide -5 by -5 and -105 by -5 and get
x=21
then you plug x in and get your angle measure
-3(21) +51
then you get the angle measure as 114 degrees.

Solve for x <br><br> 5(x+1)=5x+2
yaroslaw [1]
Steps:
1. Multiply what is in the parentheses
5x + 5 = 5x + 2
2. Subtract 5x on each side
3. 5=2
4. 5 doesn't equal 2 so the equation doesn't have a solution or it is not true.

Solve the problems<br><br> A) X/840 = 1/21<br><br> B) 14/X = 16/20
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A) x/840=1/21

x=(1/21)*840=840/21=40

x=40

------------------

B) 14/x=16/20

simplify 16/20 into 4/5

14/x=4/5

x=14/(4/5)=(14/1)(5/4)=70/4

simplify

x=35/2
