Answer:

75 boxes of standard varieties and 40 boxes of deluxe varieties.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of standard variety and y be the number of the deluxe variety of the strawberry,

∵ Total number of strawberries = 115,

⇒ x + y = 115

⇒ x = 115 - y -----(1),

Total spending amount is $ 700, in which each standard variety costs $ 4 and deluxe variety costs $ 10,

⇒ 4x + 10y = 700 ----(2),

From equation (1),

4(115-y) + 10y = 700

460 - 4y + 10y = 700

460 + 6y = 700

6y = 240

⇒ y = 40

Again from equation (1),

x = 115 - 40 = 75

Hence, there are 75 boxes of standard varieties and 40 boxes of deluxe varieties.

Answer:

XY = 92 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Similar Shapes

Two shapes are similar if all their corresponding side measures are in the same proportion.

The triangles UVW and YVX are similar because their side lengths are in the proportion 1:2, given the tick marks provided in the drawing.

This means that the measure of VX is twice the measure of VW,

The measure of YV is twice the measure of UV

The measure of XY is twice the measure of UW

This last proportion gives the equation:

z + 46 = 2z

Solving for z:

z = 46

Thus, XY = z+46 = 92

XY = 92 units

How do I do this math problem can you please help me solve it
Gnom [1K]
First, multiply 1/2 and 2 by 6 to simplify the equation. Then, subtract 12 from both sides of the equation to get x alone. Finally divide both sides of the equation by 3 to get x on it's own. That is your solution. X=-2/3 I attached a picture of my work. Hope this helped!
