lozanna [386]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

You did not include any particular reference so we do not know the documents you include as reference.

However, trying to help you we can comment on the following.

It is correct to say that the "Gilded Age" usually refers to business and worker interests in the period after Reconstruction to about 1900.

The aspect of the farmers’ experiences during this time that is similar is that they suffer many problems and tribulations during the Gilded Age, as was the case of the workers that labored in the big industries in the larger cities such as New York, Chicago, or Pittsburgh.

The American farmers were living in deep debt during the Gilded Age. They knew they had the risk of losing their properties and farms due to that debt. It was a time when the prices of the crops were down, making things worse. Another issue was the price railroads charged to transport their crops. It was too expensive for farmers.

During this Gilded Age, corruption actions in the government allowed the creation of monopolies as was the case of the Standard Oil Company owned by John D. Rockefeller or the US Steel Company owned by Andrew Carnegie.

Brilliant_brown [7]

Read this excerpt from a summary of events in Srebrenica. "Zina Hasanovic is one of the lucky ones - she knows what happened to her husband, Haris. As Serbian bullets raced through a group of tightly-packed Muslim prisoners, Haris, mortally wounded, fell on top of his first cousin and best friend, Mevludin Oric. Mevludin lay on the ground, covered in blood and for hours pretended to be dead. He managed to escape to tell Zina of her husband's fate. Why is Zina Hasanovic referred to as "one of the lucky ones"?

most people never learned the fate of their loved ones

Why do you think that for centuries most people thought the Trojan war was just a legend
bogdanovich [222]
Because Trojan War story falls into the category of myth. Scholars who study the old stories divide them into three groups: myth, legend, and folktale. Myths generally involve the supernatural, in the form of Gods, monsters and superheroes. The mythology of people can help explain their past and define their values. For many groups in the past, and many today, their myths represent truth. Legends may also be considered true by those who tell them, though they do not involve supernatural elements. Commonly, we use the terms myth and legend in place of one another or both are part of old belief systems. Folktales may contain fantasy elements similar to some myths, yet no one believes that they are true. Rather, they are told as a form of entertainment, or as fables, which are stories that teach a moral lesson.
