Answer:

Revenue = 34x

6 bracelets need to be sold for the business to break even

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The cost C (in dollars) for beads to make bracelets is C=4x+180,

             where x is the number of bracelets.

              Each bracelet sells for $34

To Find :

A. Write an equation for the revenue R in terms of the number of bracelets

B. How many bracelets need to be sold for the business to break even?

Solution :

Since the price of bracelet is $34

Suppose x no. of bracelets are sold .

Formula of revenue = Price * Quantity

Revenue = 34x

An equation for the revenue R in terms of the number of bracelets  = 34x

Now to calculate How many bracelets need to be sold for the business to break even

⇒4x+180 = 34x

⇒180=30x

⇒x=\frac{180}{30}

⇒x=6

Thus 6 bracelets need to be sold for the business to break even

For two functions, a(x) and b(x), a statement is made that a(x) = b(x) at x = 2. What is definitely true about x = 2? (2 points)
Irina-Kira [14]

The statement that is definitely true about x = 2 is Both a(x) and b(x) have the same output value at x = 2.

<h3>How to find the statement that is true about the functions a(x) = b(x) at x = 2?</h3>

If we have two functions a(x) and b(x), a statement is made that a(x) = b(x) at x = a, this implies that the values of the functions a(x) and b(x) are equal at x = a.

  • Given that the two functions a(x) and b(x), a statement is made that a(x) = b(x) at x = 2.

Then the statement that is definitely true about x = 2 is Both a(x) and b(x) have the same output value at x = 2.

So, the statement that is definitely true about x = 2 is Both a(x) and b(x) have the same output value at x = 2.

for the given license plate configuration, determine how many different plates are possinle if letters and digits (a) can ba rep
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

a) 1,757,600 different plates possible.

b) 1,404,000 different plates possible.

Step-by-step explanation:

The permutations formula is important to solve this question.

Permutations formula:

The number of possible permutations of x elements from a set of n elements is given by the following formula:

P_{(n,x)} = \frac{n!}{(n-x)!}

(a) can be repeated:

There are 3 letters, each one with 26 possible outcomes.

2 digits, each with 10 possible outcomes

So

T = 26*26*26*10*10 = 1757600

1,757,600 different plates possible.

(b) cannot be repeated:

Here the permutations formula is used.

Three letters, from a set of 26.

Two digits, from a set of 10. So

T = P_{(26,3)}*P_{(10,2)} = \frac{26!}{(26-3)!}*\frac{10!}{(10-2)!} = 1404000

1,404,000 different plates possible.
