Hydrolysis reaction is the breakdown of a polymer to its monomers by an addition of a water molecule. Here, the two amino acids will go through a hydrolysis reaction to break down into their single monomers. This is done by the C - N link in the center detaching and the glutamine amino acid, right most C, attaining an OH via single bond. The leucine amino acid, left most N, attains a H via single bond. The remaining bonds remain unchanged. The attaining of the OH and H from the respective amino acids is the water molecule, hence the name 'hydrolysis' reaction. Hydro for water and -lysis to split apart.
