WILL MAKE BRAINLIEST!!!
Match the correct scale factor to each dilation.
Solve for a and b
White raven [17]

Answer:

I am having a hard time reading the letters, so I hope this makes sense. I think that the numbers for the top triangles is given is 6 and 3. That means that the scale factor from the little to the big is 2 and from the big to the little is 1/2. It is the same for the bottom triangles.

Step-by-step explanation:

If the triangles are similar the scale factors will be the same for all three corresponding sides of the triangle. You find the two sides that are corresponding and ask yourself what do I have to multiple the side of of triangle to get the new triangle.

If one side is 3 and the other triangles side is 6. I am asking myself what do I have to multiple 3 by to get 6? 2. That is my scale factor.

3x = 6

x = 2

The scale factors are always reciprocals of each other. If I go the other direction I can write the equation

6x = 3 and when I divide both sides by 6, I get a scale factor of 1/2.

The bottom triangles:

2.5 x = 5

x = 2

and

5x = 2.5

x =1/2

20) Use the distributive property to factor the expression. 10xz − 20yz
Paraphin [41]

Answer:

C. 10z(x - 2y)

Step-by-step explanation:

10xz − 20y

Factor the terms

Factors of   10xz =          2 ×      5 × x ×        z

Factors of -20yz = (-1) × 2 × 2 × 5 ×       y × z

Identify their greatest common  factor

The common factors are 2, 5, and z. The greatest common factor is 10z.

Rewrite them with the GCF as a factor

10xz = 10z ×      x

-20yz = 10z × (-2y)

Replace the terms in the original expression with the factored terms

10xz − 20yz = 10z(x) + 10z(-2y)

Use the distributive property to isolate the greatest common factor

10z(x) + 10z(-2y) = 10z(x - 2y)
