Given

A frame is 9in wide and 6 in tall.

If it reduces to a width of 3 in

Find out the  how tall will it be .

To proof

As given in the question

A frame is 9in wide and 6 in tall.

reduces to a width of 3 in

now as shown in the table given below

This table shows that the  width of a frame is directly proportional to the height (tall) of the frame.

let us assume that the height of the frame after reduces width to 3in be = x

than the equation becomes

\frac{original\ width}{original\ height} = \frac{reduces\ width }{reduces\ height}

put the all the value

we get

\frac{9}{6} = \frac{3}{x}

solve the  above

x = \frac{6\times3}{9}

x = 2in

therefore 2in tall will be the frame .

Hence proved

Domain and range of the function and it’s inverse
sineoko [7]

Answer:

B (second table in list)

Step-by-step explanation:

The function is a quadratic with vertex and y-intercept at (0,-2). The parabola opens up meaning only y - values above -2 are a part of the function. Since range is the set of all y values, then the range is y\geq -2.

The domain is not restricted and it is all real numbers.

The inverse of the function is where x and y are switched. So the range becomes the domain and vice verse.

This means the domain of the inverse is x\geq -2 and the range of the inverse is all real numbers.

PLEASE HELP Write an equation with the smallest possible degree for the function graphed attached.
arlik [135]

Answer:

Below

Step-by-step explanation:

First we can go ahead and create a general equation for this polynomial

Here are our roots :

     x1 = - 3

     x2 = -1

     x3 = 1

Now because this function extends from quadrant 4 to 3, we know that this has been reflected in the x-axis :

     f(x) = - ( x + 3 ) ( x + 1 ) ( x - 1 )

However if we look closely you can see that the graph appears to "bounce" off certain roots. In this case it bounces off x = 1. This means that this root is an order of 2. It also has a weird looking curve on x = - 3 which means that this root is an order of 3.

Our general equation will look like this :

     f(x) = - ( x + 3 )^3 ( x - 1 )^2 ( x + 1 )

Now we need to sub in any point on the graph to solve for the <em>a </em>value. I'm just going to arbitrarily pick the y-intercept at ( 0 , -3 )

     - 3 = - a ( 0 + 3 )^3 ( 0 - 1 )^2 ( 0 + 1 )

     - 3 = - a (3)^3 (-1)^2 (1)

     - 3 = - a (27)(1)(1)

     - 3 = - a27

     1/9 = a

Here is our FINAL equation :

     f(x) = - 1/9 ( x + 3 )^3 ( x - 1 )^2 ( x + 1 )

Hope this helps! Best of luck <3

I would really appreciate a brainliest if possible :)
