Point slope formula:
y-y_1=m(x-x_1)
We know that:
y1=-1
x1=2
m=-5
So we plug those into the formula
y-(-1)=-5(x-2)
negative + negative= positive so..
Final answer:
y+1=-5(x-2)

Point slope form
y-y1=m(x-x1) where
m=slope and you are given a point (x1,y1)

slope=-5
point is (2,-1)
x1=2
y1=-1
m=-5

so
y-(-1)=-5(x-2)
y+1=-5(x-2) is answer

What is the probability of getting at least one 6 in four rolls of a single fair die?
Alik [6]
Every time you roll you have a 1/6 chance so rolling 4 times you have a 6x4= 24 and 1x4=4 so you have a 4/24 chance of getting a 6

Factor by grouping m(2a+b)-n(2a+b)+2n(2a+b)
lys-0071 [83]

The factored expression of m(2a+b)-n(2a+b)+2n(2a+b) is (m + n)(2a + b)

How to factor the expression?

The expression is given as:

m(2a+b)-n(2a+b)+2n(2a+b)

Factor out 2a + b

m(2a+b)-n(2a+b)+2n(2a+b) = (m - n + 2n)(2a + b)

Evaluate the like terms

m(2a+b)-n(2a+b)+2n(2a+b) = (m + n)(2a + b)

Hence, the factored expression of m(2a+b)-n(2a+b)+2n(2a+b) is (m + n)(2a + b)
