Answer:

X=75

Y=110

Step-by-step explanation:

A straight line is 180, so add the equations that make a line and set them equal to 180

x+20+x+10=180

Combine like terms

2x+30=180

Subtract 30 from both sides

2x=150

Divide by 2

X=75

Same for y

y+y-40=180

2y-40=180

Add 40 to both sides

2y=220

Divide by 2

Y=110

5x + 3 = 7x – 1. Find x
nasty-shy [4]

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

5x + 3 = 7x - 1

Subtract 3 to both sides

5x = 7x - 4

Subtract 7x to both sides

-2x = -4

Divide by -2 to both sides.

x = 2

Hope this helps and pls do mark me brainliest if you can:)

<u>Algebra I</u>

  • Coordinates (x, y)
  • Slope Formula: \displaystyle m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<em>Identify</em>

Point (-1, 4)

Point (3, 12)

<u>Step 2: Find slope </u><em><u>m</u></em>

Simply plug in the 2 coordinates into the slope formula to find slope <em>m</em>

  1. Substitute in points [Slope Formula]:                                                              \displaystyle m = \frac{12-4}{3--1}
  2. [Fraction] Subtract:                                                                                           \displaystyle m = \frac{8}{4}
  3. [Fraction] Divide:                                                                                               \displaystyle m = 2

I need help with letter B, please!
Gala2k [10]

So if you want to fit the y-intercepts or "b", on the y-axis you should go by 25's [0, 25, 50, 75, 100...]

If the x-axis <u>does not have to</u> follow the same pattern (25's), you should go by 5's  [0, 5, 10, 15, 20...]

y = 7x + 50

y = 2x + 175

First I would plot the y-intercepts for each equation, then plot a few points with x = 5, 10, 15      Then draw a straight line.

The point where the two lines meet/cross paths is your solution. It should be (25, 225)  The x-axis is the number of miles, and the y-axis is the total cost. So Truck driver A and B would arrive/be at the same place/meet in 25 miles at the same cost of $225
