Mathematics

No, because this changes the sign of x to negative instead of positive.

To tell this, we have to manipulate the first equation. Firstly, take the equation and give the right side a common denominator.

2x = (x - 12)/2 ----> Multiply by 2

4x = x - 12 ----> Subtract x

3x = -12

Since you see here that 3x = -12, whereas the comparative equation is positive 12, we know they are not equal.

Given that lim x→a f(x) = 0 lim x→a g(x) = 0 lim x→a h(x) = 1 lim x→a p(x) = [infinity] lim x→a q(x) = [infinity], evaluate the
ANEK [815]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to remind one of the properties of the limits:

Lim x→a  f(x)*g(x) = [Lim x→a f(x)]*[Lim x→a g(x)]

Hence, we evaluate the products of the limits

(a) Lim x→a  f(x)*g(x) = 0*0 = 0

(b) Lim x→a  f(x)*p(x) = 0*[infinity] = INDETERMINATE

(c) Lim x→a  h(x)*p(x) = 1*[infinity] = infinity

(d) Lim x→a  p(x)*q(x) = [infinity]*[infinity] = INDETERMINATE

A student factors a^6 - 64 to (a^2 - 4)(a^4 + 4a^2 + 16). Which statement about (a^2 − 4)(a^4 + 4a^2 + 16) is correct?
Lorico [155]
So that equation was definitely correct...

When you expand the equation in the bracket you'll find out that you'll get a^6 + 4a^4 + !6a^2 - 4a^4 - 16a^2 -64. then your final result will be a^6 - 64
