How did the Phoenician glass trade impact the Mediterranean region?
Lena [83]
So with so many colonies spread across the Mediterranean Region, it should not be a surprise that the Phoenicians left a legacy along the way. When a civilization takes on the traits of another civilization it is called cultural diffusion. Through trade the Phoenicians not only carried goods on their travels, they also sprinkled their culture all along the Mediterranean Region. Italy: Sidon was known as the center of the glass industry.

What was fashion and literature like in the 1950s?
hram777 [196]
1950s fashions emphasized fragile femininity, in the shape of soft shoulders, stiletto heels, wrist-length gloves and full, billowing skirts. Even working women's outfits hinted at fragility, with pencil-slim skirts and little hats with veil and feathers. I Couldn't find anything on literature, because it wasn't really a time known for its literature.

Which of the following describes a major difference between the united states and the soviet union during the cold war?
alisha [4.7K]

The correct answer is D, as the Soviet Union exerted strict control over its media, while the United States didn't.

Censorship in the Soviet Union was a persuasive phenomenon of state ideological pressure that was valid throughout the history of that country (1922-1991), although with certain ups and downs. There were two periods of relaxation: the first, after the death of the dictator Joseph Stalin in 1953, and the second during the politics of glasnost ("transparency") launched by Mikhail Gorbachev in 1986.

Absolutely all the press media within the Soviet Union were strictly controlled by the State, whether it was radio, television, books, magazines and newspapers. This was achieved through the exclusive state ownership of all facilities dedicated to production, so that its members must necessarily be employees of the State. This also extended to the fine arts, including theater, opera and ballet. Music concerts and art exhibitions could only be held in controlled places previously authorized by the State.

What effect does war have on production?
koban [17]
It increases as they need to ship supplies to the army for medical uses or ammo such like. They need to rapidly produce weapons and ammo so that they can continue to fight on. Medicine such as penicillin was mass produced as it stopped infection rate so the mass production of that drug helped in ww2

Really hope this helps :)
