Answer:

Many towns and cities.

Proslavery.

Industrial economy.

These are the features that describe the North in the Antebellum period (before the Civil War). During these years, the North had many towns and cities that were densely populated. These cities also had a large variety of factors, as the region relied on its industrial economy. Finally, the North was also antislavery. All of these characteristics contributed to the beginning of the Civil War.

What political circumstances in Europe lead to world war 1
vovikov84 [41]
The reasons why World War I happened are multiple and complex. One important is the fact that Germany lacked any real colonies prior to World War I, at least compared to the other nations which had massive and important colonies such as Great Britain or France. Another thing was general dissatisfaction and nationalism within the Austro-Hungarian empire.

A military tactic through which ports are shut off to keep people or supplies from moving in or out
enot [183]

A military tactic through which ports are shut off to keep people and or supplies from moving in or out is called a blockade. A blockade is usually directed at an entire country or region and is  different  from a siege which targets a fortress or a city. It is also distinct from  an embargo or sanctions, which are actually legal barriers to trade.

While most blockades in history took place at sea , blockades were also used on land to prevent someone from coming into a certain area. In the 20th Century, air power has also been used to enhance the effectiveness of the blockade by halting air traffic within the blockaded airspace.
