Answer: Considering the six criteria that made up an enforceable contract:

(I) Offer and acceptance: There's no clear acceptance between Peter and BIG, because the peter responded with "Most likely", which implies that peter might later decline BIG's offer

(Ii) Mutual agreement : Peter response shows that he didn't understand the terms and conditions that made up the contract, so, there was no agreement between the too.

(Iii) Consideration wasn't been met

(Iv) competent parties: Both parties we're unable to understand the contract, so, they weren't competent

(V) legality of purpose: this also was not met, since there was no clear acceptance

(Vi) proper form: Peter response seems ambiguous, therefore, the contract wasn't enforceable

When Roger Williams established the colony of Rhode Island:
meriva

Answer:

d. he made sure that it was more democratic than Massachusetts Bay.

Explanation:

Roger Williams was the founder of the Puritan settlement of Rhode Island. This was an outcome of his attempt to make bring about a separation between the church and the state in asserting their powers.

Banished from the Massachusetts's Bay Colony due to his opposition about the government's confiscation of Indian lands from the people, he caused the church to condemn him which led to his banishment. Finding it hard to live where there is less religious freedom and tolerance, he moved to Rhode Island and founded the state of Rhode Island. This place became a haven for all believers, including Jews, making sure that there is a more democratic form of authority. He made it mandatory that there is a definite separation of the church and the state, which later became the basis of the Constitution of the United States.

According to Erikson, the positive resolution of which developmental stage culminates in existential identity in old age?
insens350 [35]

Answer:

C. integrity vs. despair

Explanation:

Erik Erikson was a psychologist who developed a theory of psychosocial development. According to this theory, people go through a series of different stages, in form of crisis, along their whole lifespan.

The eight stage in this theory is called "Ego integrity vs. despair" and it takes place after the 65 years of age and ends at the moment of death. During this stage, people contemplate their accomplishments and look back at the life they lived. When people do this and see their lives as unproductive or feel that they didn't achieve their goals, they become dissatisfied and develop despair. On the other hand, if they feel happy with the life they lived, they feel at peace and achieve a sense of integrity in which they feel like their life had some value.

This feeling of integrity and feeling like their life had value can be seen as an existential identity in which they see that they reached their mission in life.

Therefore, the positive resolution of the stage of integrity vs. despair culminates in existential identity in old age.
