Younger people tend to struggle more with their emotional intelligence largely due to their lack of experience. Emotional Intelligence is developed through being in the same social situations over and over again, thus learning how to control, manage, and improve your feelings, relationships, and social skills which make up your overall Emotional Intelligence. Since adults have had many more years to be placed in those situations and increase their Emotional Intelligence, then tend not to struggle as much as younger individuals.
