Answer:

Explanation:

Given that,

The Refractive index of glass is

n(ice) = 1.31

The refractive index of water is

n(water) = 1.33

What is the critical angle?

From water to ice

Critical angle is given as.

Using Snell's Rule.

Sin( θc ) = n1 / n2

for total internal reflection the incident ray is always in the denser medium! So, water is the more denser than ice.

Then, .

Sin( θc ) = n(ice) / n(water)

Sin( θc ) = 1.31 / 1.33

Sin( θc ) = 0.98496

θc = arcSin(0.98496)

θc = 80.05°

The critical angle is 80.05°

Position yourself with a clear line-of-sight so you can search the traffic environment about __________ seconds ahead.
maxonik [38]

Answer:

30 seconds ahead.

Explanation:

Its about 90% of the decisions which are made by someone while driving based on what they see. The vision must be good to make the decision accurately and timely before reacting to the environment.

Line of sight is define as the view which you can see without any obstruction. The best condition of proper line of sight is that someone is needed to see in all direction front, behind, left and right.

To establish the clean line of sight the person should search the traffic environment about 30 seconds ahead.

What makes a substance, such as<br> aluminum, a good conductor?
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

For a material to be a good conductor, the electricity passed through it must be able to move the electrons; the more free electrons in a metal, the greater its conductivity.

A thin cylindrical shell is released from rest and rolls without slipping down an inclined ramp that makes an angle of 30° with
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer: 1.59 sec

Explanation:

The kinetic energy contained in the rotation of the cylinder is 1/2 m v^2

The kinetic energy of translation is also 1/2 m v^2

so the total energy is m v^2

The force applied is mg sin (theta)

= m x 9.8 x 1/2

= 4.9 m

Now equate

F x d = m v^2

4.9 m x 3.1 = m v^2

v^2 = 4.9 x 3.1

v = sqrt(4.9 x 3.1) = 3.9 m/s

Acceleration.

V^2 = 2 a s

4.9 x 3.1 = 2 x a x 3.1

4.9 = 2 a

a = 2.45 m/s^2

Time

T = v/a

= 3.9/2.45

= 1.59 sec

What is the frequency of an electromagnetic wave that has a wavelength of 300,000 km? (the speed of light is 300,000 km/s.)?
expeople1 [14]
Frequency represents the number of complete oscillations in one second. it is measured in Hertz (Hz). Electromagnetic waves are waves which do not require a material media for transmission. They travel with a speed of light.
The speed (m/s) of a wave is given by  frequency (Hz) × Wavelength (m)
Speed is 300,000 km/sec or 300,000,000 m/s and the wavelength is 300,000  km or 300,000,000 m.
Frequency = speed÷ wavelength
                 = 300000000 ÷ 300000000 = 1
Therefore, the frequency of the wave is 1Hz
