To find the percentage of 180 out of 600, divide 180 by 600.

180÷600= 0.3

Therefore, 180 of 600, in percentage form, is 30%.

Hope this helps!

To find the percentage of a data set you use this equation.

x%/100 = is/of

Your problem says 180 of the 600 counters in the bag are red. Work out 180 as a percentage.

So therefore write

x%                   180
---          =       --------
100%              600

Cross multiply: 1800 * 100 & 600 * x

You should end up with 600x=18,000

Divide 600 by 18,000 to get the variable x by itself:  600x=18000
                                                                                       ---------  ---------
                                                                                         600      600

x=30

Therefore, 30% of  the 600 counters in the bag are red.

Answer:

The root of    x = -2 + √2

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em> Step(i):-</em></u>

Given \sqrt{2x^{2} } + x +\sqrt{2} = 0

      ⇒    \sqrt{2} } ( x^2 ) ^{\frac{1}{2} } + x +\sqrt{2} = 0

      ⇒   \sqrt{2}x  + x +\sqrt{2} = 0

     ⇒      (\sqrt{2}  + 1) x = - \sqrt{2}

           x = \frac{-\sqrt{2} }{(\sqrt{2}  + 1)}

<u><em>Step(ii):-</em></u>

Rationalizing

     x = \frac{-\sqrt{2} }{(\sqrt{2}  + 1)} X \frac{(\sqrt{2}  - 1)}{(\sqrt{2}  - 1)}

Apply ( a-b ) ( a+b) = a²-b²

    x = \frac{-\sqrt{2}(\sqrt{2} -1) }{(\sqrt{2})^{2}   - 1^{2} )} = \frac{-(2-\sqrt{2} }{2-1}

The root of    x = -2 + √2

The work of a student to solve the equation 3(2x − 4) = 8 + 2x + 6 is shown below:
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

The student made the error at step 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The correct step will be:

Step 2; 6x − 12 = 14 + 2x

As 3 will be multiplied with 2x and 4 which will give 6x − 12

Given f(3)=7 and f(5)=252 write the first 6 terms of the sequence. no decimals
finlep [7]

\bf \begin{array}{|cl|ll} \cline{1-2} term&value\\ \cline{1-2} f(1)&\\ f(2)&\\ f(3)&7\\ f(4)&7r\\ f(5)&7rr\\ &252\\ \cline{1-2} \end{array}\qquad \qquad 7rr=252\implies 7r^2=252\implies r^2=\cfrac{252}{7} \\\\\\ r^2=36\implies r=\sqrt{36}\implies r=6 \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill\\\\ \begin{array}{|cl|ll} \cline{1-2} term&value\\ \cline{1-2} f(1)&\stackrel{\frac{7}{6}\div 6}{\cfrac{7}{36}}\\ &\\ f(2)&\stackrel{7\div 6}{\cfrac{7}{6}}\\ &\\ f(3)&7\\ f(4)&42\\ f(5)&252\\ f(6)&1512\\ \cline{1-2} \end{array}

notice, once we know what the common factor "r" is, from the 3rd term we can simply multiply it by "r" to get the next term, and divide the 3rd term by "r" in order to get the previous term, namely the 2nd term, and then divide the 2nd by "r" to get the 1st one.

Rachel earned $85.25 for working 6 1 4 hours. How much does Rachel earn per hour?
GaryK [48]

Answer:

Rachel earns per hour is $ 13.64 .

Step-by-step explanation:

As given

Rachel earned $85.25 for working 6 \frac{1}{4} hours.

i.e

Rachel earned $85.25 for working \frac{25}{4} hours.

Now calculate earning of Rachel for 1 hour .

Rachel\ earning\ for\ one\ hour = \frac{Total\ earning}{Total\ time}

Rachel\ earning\ for\ one\ hour = \frac{85.25}{\frac{25}{4}}

Rachel\ earning\ for\ one\ hour = \frac{85.25\times 4}{25}

Rachel\ earning\ for\ one\ hour = \frac{341}{25}

Rachel\ earning\ for\ one\ hour = \$ 13.64

Therefore Rachel earns per hour is $ 13.64 .
