Answer:

Head Office

Explanation:

Manger's computer: Mangere's computer of a cell is DNA because it stores the information of cell-like computer memory.

Wall fence: Smooth ER produces vital lipids for the cell to protect them.

Gateman: Golgi apparatus searches the protein's amino acid sequences for specialized "codes." If any code matches, then it allows entering into the cell.

Incinerator power unit: Mitochondria transforms glucose (sugar) into an energy molecule known as ATP.

Head office: Nucleus has control over the entire cell. The DNA, which is present in the nucleus, codes for the proteins, which is necessary for the cell to work and grow. Since it has control over the entire cell, it will be the correct answer.

During which process is ethanol produced?
Kipish [7]

Answer:

Alcohol fermentation

Explanation:

When oxygen availability is low, the cell can't perform aerobic respiration to breakdown glucose. Instead, anaerobic respiration must be performed. This occurs in cells which consume large amounts of energy, such as muscle cells. Anaerobic respiration produces much less energy than aerobic respiration

One type of anaerobic respiration formed by yeast is called alcohol fermentation (also called ethanol fermentation). This begins with glycolysis, where one molecule of glucose is broke down into 2 molecules of pyruvate. The energy from this reaction generates 2 molecules of ATP, and converts NAD+ to NADH.

Then, the two molecules of pyruvate are further broke down into 2 acetaldehydes (releasing two molecules of carbon dioxide as a by-product). These two molecules of acetaldehyde are then converted into tw molecules of ethanol, using the H ions from NADH, converting it back to NAD+. See the attached picture

This process is taken advantage of to brew beer and wine.

Explain why the cane toad has been so successful as an invasive species in Australia
Sauron [17]

Answer:

Cane toads were introduced intentionally in Australia in 1935 to combat cane beetles in the sugar cane crop fields. These toads exhibit higher feeding capacity. These can feed not only cane beetles but other insects which affecting agricultural yields. They are poisonous in nature, they kill any insect after ingestion. Therefore, they are useful biological insecticide which provides crops resistance against insects.
