What actions did the colonists take in response to the Stamp Act?
aleksklad [387]
The colonists were not at all happy at the way Stamp Act was forced on them without taking their consent. The tax was being taken by the Britishers to support their wars in North America. The colonists not only debated about this tax in colonial legislature, but also distributed written documents against the act. Mob or crowd action against the tax collectors was another way of protesting against the tax. Colonists were so angry that they even tar and feather the tax collectors. This ways were all to indicate their anger towards implementation of the Stamp Act.

Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

The correct answer is: D. an availability heuristic

Explanation:

The heuristic is a mental process we use in problem resolution and taking decisions in a short time -mental shortcuts-, although it is not always perfect and has limitations or errors. It is commonly based on prior experiences.

According to this example, Dan is basing his decision on Availability Heuristic, because he recently had watched a television program about rabies so he had that information at the top of his mind, it was recent. That is why he immediately associated the information with what he saw and decided the animal was infected.

Unlike representativeness heuristic wich is used to make judgments about the probability of something; it considers information from different sources and makes comparisons in order to find similarities and then make a decision.

The smell of the chemicals produce s a burning sensation inside the nose. This is because the chemicals in the solution binds to the branches of the trigeminal nerve in epithelial lining. As a result of which the olfactory receptors sends a signal to our brain and it causes a burning sensation in the nose.

Answer:

Lacks random assignment

Explanation:

the researcher may not Be able to establish valid causal relationships as the study lacks random assignment in that participants do not get equal opportunity of being assigned to groups. Random assignment means the researcher applies chance in assigning participants to groups such that the study is not biased and causal relationships are not affected. For example if a participant does not get to choose his group, the researcher randomly flips a coin to assign him to a group and so there is an uncorrupted result in findings
