5x - y³ = 135x - y³ = 13
The answer can be obtained by simply putting the ordered pair into the equations. First (2 , -9)
5(2) - (9)³ = 135(5) - (-9)³ = 13
10 + 729 = 675 + 729 = 13
739 = 1404 = 13
This is not true. Therefore this is not a solution
Second (3,-6)
5(3) - (-6)³ = 135(5) - (-6)³ = 13
231 = 891 = 13
This is also not true
Therefore, neither ordered pair is a solution.

Is the binomial theorem and pascal's formula the same?
Vaselesa [24]
They are closely related. The Binomial Theorem expands (a+b)ⁿ as the sum of a series of terms involving progressive powers of a and b with a coefficient based entirely on the exponent n. Coefficients of consecutive terms in the series are the same as the nth rows of Pascal’s Triangle. This means that the formula used for calculating the coefficients in the Binomial expansion is the same one used to calculate the numbers in the corresponding row of Pascal’s Triangle. The nomenclature ⁿcᵣ for the number of ways of combining r objects out of n objects invokes this formula.

Given: △ABC, E∈ AB m∠ABC=m∠ACE AB=34, AC=20 Find: AE
butalik [34]

Answer:

The length of AE is 11.8 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the triangle ABC, E∈ AB m∠ABC=m∠ACE AB=34, AC=20. we have to find the length of side AE.

In ΔACE and ΔABC

∠A=∠A     (Common)

∠ABC=∠ACE     (Given)

∴ By AA similarity, ΔACE is similar to ΔABC

Hence by triangle proportionality theorem,

\frac{CE}{BC}=\frac{AE}{AC}=\frac{AC}{AB}

⇒ \frac{AE}{AC}=\frac{AC}{AB}

⇒ \frac{AE}{20}=\frac{20}{34}

⇒  AE=\frac{20}{34}\times 20=\frac{400}{34}=11.8units
