Answer: Option (1) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The internal energy of an object obtained by the kinetic energy of its molecules is known as thermal energy.

Since thermal energy is basically due to the kinetic energy of molecules, that is, rapid movement of molecules and this kinetic energy is released to the surroundings in the form of heat.

Therefore, we can conclude that thermal energy produced is not generally usable to do work because the thermal energy dissipates too quickly and is not concentrated enough to be used.

The ability of thermal energy to dissipate too quickly and not get concentrated makes it not suitable for doing work. In addition, thermal energy comes from the rapid movement of particles in which it is directly proportional. Therefore, the faster the particle movement, more heat or thermal energy is generated.

On planet X, an object weighs 7.04 N. Onplanet B where the magnitude of the free-fallacceleration is 1.91g(whereg= 9.8 m/s2isthe
timurjin [86]

Mass of object in Earth is 1.37 kg

Explanation:

On planet B where the magnitude of the free-fall acceleration is 1.91g , the object weighs 25.74 N.

We have

           Weight = Mass x Acceleration due to gravity

On planet B

           25.74 = Mass x 1.91 g

           25.74 = Mass x 1.91 x 9.81

           Mass = 1.37 kg

Mass is constant for an object. It will not change with location.

Mass of object in Earth = Mass of object in Planet B

Mass of object in Earth = 1.37 kg

Describe the wave motion and mechanical wave movement of a seismic P wave 20 pts
mariarad [96]

a mechanical wave is a wave that is an oscillation of matter, and therefore transfers energy through a medium. while waves can move over long distances, the movement of medium transmission-the material- is limited. again, the oscillating material does not move far away from its initial equilibrium position ;)

Two identical objects, A and B, are sitting on a table. If the net force on object A is 5 N and the net force on object B is 10
sveta [45]

If the net force on object A is 5 N and the net force on object B is 10 N, then object B will accelerate more quickly than object A provided the mass of both objects are same.

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

According to Newton’s second law of motion, any external force applied on an object is directly proportional to the mass and acceleration of the object. In order to state this law in terms of acceleration, it is stated that acceleration exhibited by any object is directly proportional to the net force applied on the object and inversely proportional to the mass of the object as shown below:

                      \text {Acceleration of the object } \propto \frac{\text {Net force on the object}}{\text {Mass of the object}}

So if two objects A and B are identical which means they have same mass, then the acceleration attained by the object will be directly proportionate to the net forces exerted on the objects only.

Thus if the force applied is more for one object, then the object will be exhibiting more acceleration compared to the other one. So as object B is experiencing a net force of 10 N which is greater than the net force experiences by object A, then the object B will be accelerating more quickly compared to the object A's acceleration.

A 4.3-kg block slides down an inclined plane that makes an angle of 30° with the horizontal. Starting from rest, the block slide
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

0.56

Explanation:

Let the coefficient of friction is μ.

m = 4.3 kg, θ = 30 degree, initial velocity, u = 0, s = 2.7 m, t = 5.8 s

By the free body diagram,

Normal reaction, N = mg Cosθ = 4.3 x 9.8 x Cos 30 = 36.49 N

Friction force, f = μ N = 36.49 μ

Net force acting on the block,

Fnet = mg Sinθ - f = 4.3 x 9.8 x Sin 30 - 36.49 μ

Fnet = 21.07 - 36.49μ

Net acceleartion, a = Fnet / m

a = (21.07 - 36.49μ) / 4.3

use second equation of motion

s = ut + 1/2 a t^2

2.7 = 0 + 1/2 x (21.07 - 36.49μ) x 5.8 x 5.8 / 4.3

By solving we get

μ = 0.56
