Answer:

w =6G-40

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that G= 1/6(w+ 40)

Now we have to solve for w.

i.e. Now G is in left side and a funciton of w is on right side.

To get formula for w, we have to bring w to left side and all other terms including G on the right side.

G= 1/6(w+ 40)

First multiply the above equation both sides by 6

6G = w+40

Now interchange left and right side

w+40 = 6G

Subtract 40 from both the sides

w =6G-40 is the formula for red variable w.

What is the area of this figure?

Enter your answer in the box.
ale4655 [162]

Answer:

42 units squared

Step-by-step explanation:

break it up into smaller shapes. if you split the big shape at y = 2 and at y=-2, you'll get two triangles and one rectangle.

so the area of the rectangle = l x w

= 4 x 7

= 28

the area of the triangle is ( l x w )/2

= (7 x 2)/2

= 7

the other triangle is the same too

so the area of that is also 7.

now add all areas,

7+7+28 = 42

An=11+(n-1)(4)
how do you write this in the recursive formula?
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
The answer is
\begin{cases}A_1 = 11 \\ A_{n} = A_{n-1}+4\end{cases}
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Explanation:
The first term is A_1 = 11. The next part of the rule, which says A_{n} = A_{n-1}+4 is the recursive part. To get the nth term, we add on 4 to the previous (n-1) term. For example, to get the fifth term, you add on 4 to the fourth term. Relying solely on this recursive definition means we need to find all of the previous terms (from 1 to n-1) in order to find a given nth term.

The question is below, plz answer, will give brainliest
Elina [12.6K]

By comparing the right triangle ABC with the triangle XYZ, we will see that:

 • AC = 5
 • BC = 10.

How to find the given segments?

So we know that the largest triangle is a dilation of scale factor 2 of the smaller one.

Also, remember that for right triangle we have the relation:

Tan(θ) = (opposite cathetus)/(adjacent cathetus).

Now, the problem tells us that:

tan(x) = 5/2.5

For the angle x, the adjacent cathetus is XY, and the opposite cathetus is YZ.

Then we have:

YZ = 5

XY = 2.5

Knowing that the correspondent sides in the larger triangle will be 2 times the above ones, we can see that:

AC = 2*XY = 2*2.5 = 5

CB = 2*YZ = 2*5 = 10
