Answer:

Cynognathus fossils were important to Wegner's theory because they were found on lands now separated by a wide ocean.

Explanation:

Wegner used the fossil of cynognathus as evidence to prove his continental drift hypothesis. Cynognathus are reptiles which lacked the swimming ability. These reptiles survived in the land before separation in live form along with other organisms surviving side by side.

Later due to certain natural phenomenon these reptiles died and the land got separated by a wide ocean. The fossils of cynognathus reptiles are now found in the lands that are separated by wide ocean.

What other recent hypotheses would corroborate the hypothesis that life on earth originated in space? (choose all that apply.)?
LuckyWell [14K]
The answer would be meteorites containing amino acids.  Most of the amino the amino acids revealed in the new investigation were not guaranteed up in proteins or polymers. Furthermore, the most plentiful amino acids originate in biology are those that are set up in proteins, but such "proteinogenic" amino acids signify only a small fraction of the amino acids originate in the meteorites.
