Answer:

x = 24 , y = 8√3 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : 30- 60- 90 angled triangle.

To find : Solve for x and y.

Solution : We have given : opposite angle = y

Hypotenuses = 16√3.

Adjacent side = x.

By the 30- 60- 90 angled triangle rule : Adjacent side is √3 times of opposite side and hypotenuses is 2 times of opposite side,

Then ,

Hypotenuses = 2 * opposite side.

Plug hypotenuses = 2√3.

16√3 = 2 * y .

On dividing  by 2 both sides.

8√3 = y.

Adjacent side = √3 * opposite side.

x = √3 * y

x = √3 * 8√3 .

x = 8 * 3

x = 24.

Therefore, x = 24 , y = 8√3 .

y is 8\sqrt{3}. This is because in a 30-60-90 triangle, the side facing the 30° is always half of the side facing the 90°

x is always √3 times y, so x=24. Therefore, the answer is the second answer choice.

Simplify the expression:<br> (3n)(2)
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

3n+2)! / (3n-3)! = (3n+2)*(3n+1)*(3n)*(3n-1)*(3n-2)*(3n-3)! divided by (3n-3)! which becomes:

23! / 18! = (23 * 22 * 21 * 20 * 19 * 18! divided by 18! which becomes:

(23 * 22 * 21 * 20 * 19)

the result is 4037880

i used my ti-84 to take 23! and divide it by 18! and i got 4037880.

this confirms the solution is correct.

I think I have the answer, but would like to check my work
notsponge [240]

Notice that we can calculate the area of the square and the rectangle separately to get the following:

\begin{gathered} A_1=3\cdot3=9in^2 \\ A_2=9\cdot2=18in^2 \\ \Rightarrow A=A_1+A_2=9+18=27in^2 \end{gathered}

therefore, the total area is 27 in^2
