At Hillside Middle School, lunchtime is a free period for teachers. They spend most of this time sending students outside. We ar
e supposed to stay outside until the bell rings at the end of the lunch period, but it is too hot. Instead, students are hanging out in the hallways. The school has started giving detention to anyone caught inside during lunch. This problem can be solved by building covered porches in the school courtyard. Then, we will have a place where we can hang out in the shade. Our teachers will be able to spend their free period however they want.
