Using the Antoine equation, prepare two plots of Psat versus T for Benzene over the range of temperature for which the parameter

s are valid. One plot should present Psat on a linear scale and the other should present Psat on a log scale. Make these plots using appropriate software of your choice (Excel, Matlab, etc.), not by hand. In both cases, T should be on the horizontal axis (independent variable) and Psat nwww ww www. should be on the vertical axis. Please show all work and use Excel or Matlab. The parameters for Benzene are given below. A 13.7819 B 2726.81 C 217.572 Temp Range( C) 6-104 AHn (kJ/mol) 30.72 Latent heat of Vaporization at normal boiling point a0000nd Normal boiling point Tr (oC) 80.0

Answer:

Here's what I get.

Explanation:

The Antoine equation is

\log p = A - \dfrac{B }{C+T}

A = 13.7819

B = 2726.81

C = 217.572

I did the calculations and the plots in Excel.

Figure 1 shows the calculations, Figure 2 is the linear plot, and Figure 3 is the log plot.

What is the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution with pH=7.75 ?
Alja [10]

Answer:

[H^+]=1.78x10^{-8}M

Explanation:

Hello there!

In this case, according to the given information about the pH, it is firstly necessary for us to remember that the pH is defined as the potential of the hydrogen ions in the solution and the concentration of those ions represents how many of them are present in the solution; in such a way, it is possible for us use:

pH=-log([H^+])

Whereas the concentration of hydrogen ions can be calculated as follows:

[H^+]=10^{-pH}

So we plug in the given pH to obtain:

[H^+]=10^{-7.75}=1.78x10^{-8}M

Regards!

Amino acids cannot be broken down to provide energy.
Ostrovityanka [42]
False, Dietary proteins are first broken down to individual amino acids by various enzymes and hydrochloric acid present in the gastro-intestinal tract. These amino acids are further broken down to α-keto acids which can be recycled in the body for generation of energy, and production of glucose or fat or other amino acids.
