<span>In the question "Karl has stamps in his desk drawer. The possible combinations of stamps are shown below in the attachment. Which statement about the stamps is correct?" The correct answer is "The total number of stamps is 35." This is because the sums of the different combinations of the 45 cents stamps and 65 cents stamps are 35. i.e. 18 + 17 = 35 20 + 15 = 35 22 + 13 = 35 25 + 10 = 35</span>

The table gives the different combinations of stamps Karl has

the first option says that

a. The total number of stamps is 25.

according to this the addition of stamps for each combination should be 25

1st combination is 18 + 17 = 35

therefore this statement is wrong as the addition of stamps is 35 stamps

b. The total value of the stamps is $18.75.

lets check the first combination

18 x $ 0.45 + 17 x $ 0.65 = 8.1 + 11.05 = $19.15

so this statement too is wrong

c. The total number of stamps is 35.

as calculated above we know that the sum of the stamps in the first combination is 35

so lets check for the other combinations

20 + 15 = 35

22 + 13 = 35

25 + 10 = 35

so the answer is 35

this statement is correct

d.The total value of the stamps is $19.15

lets check the value for the third combination

22 x 0.45 + 13 x 0.65 = 9.9 + 8.45 = $18.35

this value isnt equal to $ 19.15

therefore this statement too is wrong

correct answer is C

In MON, J, K, and L are midpoints. If JL = 11, LK = 13, and ON = 20, and JL || MN, LK || MO, and JK || ON, what is the length of
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

The lengths of MN is 22 units, MO is 26 units and JK is 10 units

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>A l</em><em>ine segment</em><em> joining the </em><em>mid-points of two sides</em><em> in a triangle is </em><em>parallel to the third side</em><em> and </em><em>equal to half its length</em>

In Δ MON

∵ J, K, and L are mid-points

∵ JL // MN and LK // MO

∴ L is the mid-point of ON

∴ J is the mid-point of MO

∴ K is the mid-point of MN

∵ J, L are the mid-points of MO and ON

∵ JL is opposite to MN

→ By using the rule above

∴ JL = \frac{1}{2} MN

∵ JL = 11 units

∴ 11 = \frac{1}{2} MN

→ Multiply both sides by 2

∴ 22 = MN

∴ MN = 22 units

∵ K, L are the mid-points of MN and ON

∵ KL is opposite to MO

→ By using the rule above

∴ KL = \frac{1}{2} MO

∵ KL = 13 units

∴ 13 = \frac{1}{2} MO

→ Multiply both sides by 2

∴ 26 = MO

∴ MO = 26 units

∵ J, K are the mid-points of MO and MN

∵ JK is opposite to ON

→ By using the rule above

∴ JK = \frac{1}{2} ON

∵ ON =20 units

∴ JK = \frac{1}{2} (20)

∴ JK = 10 units

∴ The lengths of MN are 22 units, MO is 26 units and JK is 10 units

How long should the wooden frame be (use 3.14 for pi)
scoundrel [369]
C=2πr
The  C stands for circumference
the π is Pi (3.14)
and r is the radius (length of half a circle)

Since the sides are 10 ft you multiply that by 2 to get the length of both sides which gives you 20 feet.

Then to find the circle, since both are half circles. You can just do the normal circumference equation and you will end up with the same answer.

For example in this problem: this problem gives you the diameter but you need the radius of the circle. C=2(π)(1.5)

C=9.42 < this is the circumference of the circle.

Then you add the sides of the table which are 20 feet.

So the final answer is 29.42 feet.

3^{x + 2} - 3^{x} = 3^{x}* 3^{2} - 3^{x} = 9(3^{x}) - 1(3^{x}) = 8(3^{x})

3^{x + 2} - 3^{x} = \frac{8}{9}

⇒ 8(3^{x}) = \frac{8}{9}

⇒ 3^{x} = \frac{1}{9}   <em>multiplied both sides by 8</em>

⇒3^{x} = \frac{1}{3^{2} }

⇒ 3^{x} = 3⁻²

⇒ x = -2

Answer:

S12=855735

Step-by-step explanation:

if the 3rd term is 45 then,

formula: Sn=ar^n-1

S12=5*3^12-1

S12=5*3^11

S12=5*177147
