It has most defiantly declined because if you look at the “social standards” over the past ten years they have changed. If your in school you probably don’t know many people if anyone who smokes cigarettes and that would’ve been different years ago. Now that people know the long term affects and how younger generations view smoking cigarettes it’s gone down.

I think it has declined b/c if you look at the smoking standards. in 2005 there was 20.5 percent of population that smoked . there was a  decline  2020 it dropped to 14 percent of the population  smoked
