Answer:

  • The Quantitative approach plays a role in decision making as it involves the use of mathematical language to ease the decision-making process in a management. Where a Manager exhibits an absence of sufficient experience Quantitative approach can be settled for. The quantitative approach properly works for dispassionately quantifiable issues

For example, where a Manager wants to properly share certain resources among departments, he makes sure he gets a department that will yield profit. This clearly shows the use of the mathematical methodology.

  • The Qualitative approach also plays a role in decision making in an Organization as it requires experiential information on the different variables associated with a choice. It is closely related to social sciences. It effectively deep dive into what prompts a person to act the way he does.

For example, where dispute arise in an Organization, the Manager is expected to apply this approach to understand how the complexity in the workings of the Organization.

A Manager needs to have good understanding of both approaches because Managers are in a position of leadership for the smooth running of the Organization. They should be able to take on well educated choices that contribute toward the achievement of their organizations.

During a history-taking session, Mr. B appears to be avoiding certain questions. He keeps looking out the window. What should th
____ [38]

Answer:

C) Make a note to pursue sensitive issues later in the interview.

Explanation:

The caregiver need not pressure the individuals in order to get answers from him immediately. This would not allow the subject to think properly and answer the question. Also there would be no need to stop the lesson because the individual did not answer a question as this would hinder communication flow. It is therefore required that the caregiver write down the questions that may be sensitive to the subject and later ask these questions at a more convenient time for the subject when he must be more comfortable to answer these sensitive questions. Scenarios such as this are usually exemplified in highschool movies where the teacher would have to call the student to her office after the class or next day

Answer: Construct Validity

Explanation:

Construct Validity is a measure of how well a test is structured to examine the  fact or event we actually want to measure.  Put simply, do the variables we are trying to measure and labels we assign them reflect the idea that we intend?

In this question, the threat to construct validity is that black/white does not refer to race but social status due to the culture where the terms are used. The labels used here will translate into a test that measures a completely different idea, and will also generate different results from what is intended.
