sin 45 = opp/hyp

sin 45 = 4 / y

y = 4/sin 45

y = 4 /((sqrt2)/2)=4* sqrt(2)

tan 45 =opp/adj

tan 45 = 4/(x-3)

1 = 4/(x-3)

x-3 = 4

Solve: -4w + 6 = 46.
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

\boxed{w=-10}

The answer have negative sign.

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract by 6 both sides of equation.

-4w+6-6=46-6

Simplify.

46-6=40

-4w=40

Divide by -4 both sides of equation.

\frac{-4w}{-4}=\frac{40}{4}

Simplify to find the answer.

40\div-4=-10

w=-10, is the correct answer

((Use the graph shown below to fill in the blank.))
Valentin [98]
The point (4,y) has a known x coordinate of x = 4. The y coordinate is unknown right now so we'll just call it y.

Draw a vertical line (see side note below) through 4 on the x axis. I've done so in red (see attached image). The red line crosses the graph at the point (4,1) so this tells us that y = 1

Answer: y = 1

Side Note: you don't have to draw a vertical red line but it's handy to see how it works out. After you get used to these types of problems, you can visually be able to see the answer without these extra lines.

Anestetic [448]

Answer:

Based on the graph, what is the dependent variable, the equation relating the two variables, and how far will the dragonfly travel in 24 hours if it continues to fly at the same speed?

The dependent variable is time, the equation is y = 22x, and the dragonfly will travel 528 miles.

The dependent variable is time, the equation is x = 22y, and the dragonfly will travel 1,056 miles.

The dependent variable is distance, the equation is y = 22x, and the dragonfly will travel 528 miles.

The dependent variable is distance, the equation is x = 22y, and the dragonfly will travel 1,056 miles.
