The temperate zone is each of the two latitude lines (belts) between the torrid zone and frigid zones.

Explanation:

To further elaborate, the torrid zone is the land surrounding the equator in between the Cancer and Capricorn tropics. The frigid zones is the areas north of the Arctic circle and south of the Antarctic circle. The temperate zone is simply the areas in between these two zones. Hope this helps!
