I would plug in each of the solutions to every equation and see which one works. This is probably easier than solving for x, y, and z. But let me know if you would like me to run through the steps!

First choice: using the first equation, -3(-3)-4(4)+6=-19 not -1 as listed. False.

Second choice: using the first equation, -3(4)-4(-3)+(-1)=-1 ; using the second equation, 2(4)+(-3)-(-1)=6 not -8 as listed. False.

Third choice: using the first equation, -3(-3)-4(4)+8=-17 not -1 as listed. False.

Fourth choice: using the first equation, -3(3)-4(-4)+-(-6)=-1 ; using the second equation,
2(3)+(-4)-(-6)=8 ; using the third equation, 3+8(-4)-(-6)=23

So first you take the words and put them into an equation. "a number" that never gets directly told to you will always be a variable, which is easiest to make X. "The sum of a number and 8" will mean that 8+something is the sum so they have to go in parenthesis... giving you
 4/3*(x+8)=24
now just solve for X, remembering to use the reverse of PEMDAS, since you're solving for the variable.
remove what is furthest away to the X first.
x+8=24*3/4
x+8=18
x=18-8
x=10
Now, remember to always go through and replace your variable with its value and solve. if it is not equal on both sides, retry the problem because you may have missed a small +, -, or * somewhere!

Multiplication is a simple way of adding
For example 6x8 is the same as 8+8+8+8+8+8

Any number multiplied by 1 is itself E.g 4x1 = 4

Multiplying by 2 is just doubling

Multiplying by 10 is adding a 0 to the original number

If it is a big number that you do not know how to multiply mentally split it up
E.g 17x13
Split 13 into 10 and 3
17x10= 170
17x3= 51
Then add these numbers
221

If you ever get stuck, use the long method, add them instead, you will get to the right answer but it will take longer

Dividing is not as simple
Like multiplication dividing by one will leave you with the same answer

Dividing by two means you half the number, which may give you a decimal

Bigger numbers are trickier, and you may be allowed to use a calculator for numbers

there are immaginary solutions though so

xy=15000
x+y=5


x+y=5
y=5-x

x(5-x)=15000
-x^2+5x=15000
0=x^2-5x+15000

if ax^2+bx+c=0, then
x=\frac{-b+/- \sqrt{b^{2}-4ac} }{2a}

x^2-5x+15000
a=1
b=-5
c=15000
x=\frac{-(-5)+/- \sqrt{(5)^{2}-4(1)(15000)} }{2(1)}
x=\frac{5+/- \sqrt{25-60000} }{2}
x=\frac{5+/- \sqrt{-59975} }{2}
x=\frac{5+/- 5i\sqrt{2399} }{2}
so the numbers are
