2/3 or 66% , if its percentage we are talking about , so the answer is that you simply find 66% of 8 so multiply <span>0.666667</span>*8 and theres your answer round up to the nearest tenth and 5.333336 round it up and hopefully you have your answer

In selecting a sulfur concrete for roadway construction in regions that experience heavy frost, it is important that the chosen
Lesechka [4]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given - In selecting a sulfur concrete for roadway construction in regions that experience heavy frost, it is important that the chosen concrete has a low value of thermal conductivity in order to minimize subsequent damage due to changing temperatures. Suppose two types of concrete, a graded aggregate and a no-fines aggregate, are being considered for a certain road. The table below summarizes data on thermal conductivity from an experiment carried out to compare the two types of concrete.

Type            ni                xi                  si

Graded       42           0.486            0.187

No-fines      42           0.359           0.158

To find - a. Formulate the above in terms of a hypothesis testing problem.

b. Give the test statistic and its reference distribution (under the null hypothesis).

c. Report the p-value of the test statistic and use it to assess the evidence that this sample provides on the scientific question of difference in mean conductivity of the two materials at the 5% level of significance.

Proof -

a.)

Hypothesis testing problem :

H0 : There is significant difference between mean conductivity for the graded concrete and mean conductivity for the no fines concrete.

H1 : There is no significant difference between mean conductivity for the graded concrete and mean conductivity for the no fines concrete.

b)

Test statistic :

Z = \frac{x_{1} - x_{2} }{\sqrt{\frac{s_{1} ^{2} }{n_{1}}  + \frac{s_{2}^{2} }{n_{2}} } }

Z = \frac{0.486 - 0.359 }{\sqrt{\frac{0.03496 }{42}  + \frac{0.02496 }{42} } }

Z = \frac{0.127 }{\sqrt{0.001468}}

Z = \frac{0.127 }{0.0377}

⇒Z(cal) = 3.3687

Z(tab) = 1.96

As Z (cal) > Z(tab)

So, we reject H0 at 5% Level of significance

p-value = 0.99962

Hence

There is significant difference in mean conductivity at the two materials.

Sine angle A = 2.2 / 2.6
sine angle A = <span> <span> <span> 0.8461538462 </span> </span> </span>
angle A = arc sine (<span>0.8461538462)
</span>angle A = 57.796 Degrees

cosine angle B = 2.2 / 2.6
cosine angle B = <span>0.8461538462
</span>angle B = arc sine (<span>0.8461538462)
</span>angle B = 32.204 Degrees

AC^2 = 2.6^2 - 2.2^2
AC^2 = <span> <span> <span> 6.76 </span> </span> </span> -4.84
AC^2 = <span> 1.92

RAMP<br> 21.7 ft<br> 8.5 ft<br> 12 ft<br> 20 ft<br> 1. What is the total surface area of the ramp?
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

772.4 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

find the area of each face. first the slanted rectangle. the dimensions of the slanted rectangle are 21.7ft by 12ft. so the area is 21.7*12=260.4ft^2. for the two triangles on the sides, each on has an area of 20*8.5/2=85. next for the smaller rectangle, the dimensions are 12ft by 8.5ft giving us an area of 102 ft^2. lastly for the base, it has dimensions of 20ft by 12ft giving us an area of 240ft^2. now you just add up all the areas: 260.4+85+85+102+240=772.4 (you might want to check my addition just in case)
