1 pound on earth = 0.17 pound on moon
17 1/2 pounds on earth = x pound on moon
x = 0.17 \times 17 \frac{1}{2}  \\ x = 2.975

17.5 - 2.975 = 14.525

Answer: 14.525 pounds.

Hope this helps. - M
